The stages of mesothelioma cancer explained

Mesothelioma cancer is a type of cancer of the lungs and chest attacks. Also, asbestos lung cancer forms, there deadly cancerous tumor mesothelial cells form a protective layer known in the lungs, heart and abdominal organs. It is a type of lung cancer that will develop and produce for many years and symptoms. About 3,000 cases per year (mostly men over 40 years old) reported. It is estimated that this number will increase to around 300,000 cases before 2030.

Types of mesothelioma asbestos cancer
Epithelial mesothelioma is a rare and deadly form of cancer that the lining of the chest cavity, heart, lungs and abdomen. There are three forms of epithelial mesothelioma: the most common mesothelioma is the second most common, peritoneal mesothelioma (contributing only a quarter of cases), and the rarest form, pericardial mesothelioma.

Pleural mesothelioma, the most common form of this disease affects the pleura, a thin membrane between the lungs and chest. The pleura is a lubricated surface and the lungs do not rub and rub against the chest wall. There are two types of pleural mesothelioma "diffuse and malignant" in the first place. This guy has cancer and is usually fatal within one year after diagnosis. The second type is localized and benign "and is usually non-fatal. It can be generally removed by surgery.

Lung cancer diet should not be confused with lung cancer. In cancer of the lung lining, the affected area of the body, the mesothelium, a thin membrane is that many internal organs of the body called covered. The mesothelium of the lungs called the pleura. Lung cancer is sometimes called mesothelioma feed on the area in which it occurs.

This thin membrane is composed of two layers - one that surrounds the body and another which forms a sac around the first outer layer. Between the layers of the mesothelium is a liquid to slide slightly against the vital organs of objects allowed in contact with them.

Localized pleural mesothelioma is not always caused by asbestos. However, if it spread to other parts of the body like the lymph nodes, lungs, chest wall, or abdominal organs, it is distributed as malignant, and is usually not the result of exposure to asbestos.

Peritoneal mesothelioma appears as a tumor in the lining of the abdominal peritoneum. This type of mesothelioma is very rare, less than a quarter of all known cases of the disease. There is no effective treatment for this condition, and most patients live less than a year after diagnosis.

Mesentery cancer is peritoneal cancer (mesothelioma) is used. This cancer affects mainly parts of the peritoneum, that the various organs of the lining of the abdominal cavity (ie mesogastrium for the stomach, jejunum mesojejunum) fix. Mesentery cancer includes all extensions abdominal peritoneum. Tumors are rare in the mesentery real, if there is a path in the spread of mesothelioma in the abdominal cavity.

Pericardial mesothelioma is the rarest form of mesothelioma, the membrane surrounding the heart (called the pericardium or pericardium). In this disease, and massive effusion (fluid) grow around the pericardium. Not all effusions are related strictly to mesothelioma.

Causes
Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos fibers and dust caused. Workers in the asbestos industry are preferred targets for the attraction of this deadly disease. Asbestos fibers enter the body either by inhaling tiny asbestos fibers or by swallowing. The fibers cause healthy cells into cancer cells. Since the body is unable to disperse the fibers, inflammation of the lungs (asbestosis). This condition is deteriorating and will eventually malignant. Exposure to asbestos is considered responsible for about 75% of all cases of cancer of the lung lining.

Symptoms
Mesothelioma cancer is very difficult to detect at an early stage. The first symptoms tend to be generic, if at all, in some cases it may take to develop 15 to 50 years after exposure. The first symptom is often a constant pain in the chest, followed by coughing, lung damage, shortness of breath. Patients with peritoneal mesothelioma (a less common form of mesothelioma) generally experience abdominal pain, anorexia, nausea and abdominal pain, swelling, most often symptoms of pleural mesothelioma. You can also develop bowel obstruction or choking extra.

Internships and diagnosis of mesothelioma
There are three classification systems for the treatment of mesothelioma provide: Butchart System, the TNM system and the system of Brigham

Butchart Staging System
The Butchart System is the oldest and most widely used system. This system focuses on determining the extent of the primary tumor and mesothelioma into four stages.
Phase I of the Butchart System is the presence of mesothelioma in the lining of the right or left lung and the diaphragm may also be on the same page. Phase II includes the development of mesothelioma in the chest wall, esophagus, lung, or along the sides penalty. It can also lymph nodes in the chest. The start of Phase III begins when mesothelioma as the diaphragm into the lining of the abdominal cavity or peritoneum. At this stage, cancer is facing to the lymph nodes beyond those of the breast. Doctors identify Stage IV, the last stage, where evidence is confirmed for the spread of cancer to other organs (metastasis).
